Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah looks on during the match against Wolves.

Arne Slot said Liverpool’s luck was changing for the better, but he might change his feelings as a deflected stoppage-time goal by Andre doomed Liverpool to a 2-1 loss to Wolves

  • Alisson (6/10): A spectator for much of the evening, which is what you want from your goalie. Nothing he could do about the deflected goal
  • Szobozlai (6/10): Always dangerous, but did not have many chances coming forward
  • Konate (7/10): Strong game. Snuffed out several Wolves' long balls
  • Van Dijk (5/10): Could have done better in the air on set pieces. His poor touch led to Wolves' goal
  • Gakpo (5/10): Got his foot in the way of a certain Jones goal
  • Kerkez (5/10)  Not enough today, so he was subbed off by Slot, looking for a spark
  • Salah: (7/10) Popped up in good spots, but lacked the finishing touch until he scored the equalizer
  • Mac Allister: (6/10) Consistent, but not magical
  • Frimpong: (7/10) Showed off his speed on the wing
  • Gravenberch : (4/10) Poor play. Was subbed off at half
  • Ekitike: (5/10) Not enough chances generated. The name was barely called

The Substitutes

  • Jones (8/10): Brilliant after coming on as a halftime sub
  • Ngumoha (7/10): Took on defenders, but it did not lead to a goal
  • Robertson (610): Solid in defence after coming on
  • Gomez (6/10): Same for Gomez. Not his fault for the deflected goal
  • Chiesa (5/10): Not much impact and had a bad giveaway

Man of the Match

  • Salah: He could do better with his finishing, but he put in a good shift with lots of effort

The Manager

  • Arne Slot (5/10): Lacklustre first half. Subs brought a second-half spark, but it was too late
