Jurgen Klopp's side have enjoyed a successful spell following their return from the November break, with five wins out of five in all competitions, with the latest coming in a late 1-0 win over at the weekend.

The Reds now turn their focus back to the Champions League as they make their first-ever visit of the San Siro, with the hosts in need of a victory if they are to reach the knockout stages of the competition.

Whilst Liverpool have already emphatically qualified for the last-16 as group winners, Milan start the evening in third place - level on points with Atletico and a point below , who face each other in the other Group B clash on Tuesday night.

The two sides met at in the reverse fixture on the opening day, with skipper scoring the winner to give Liverpool a 3-2 after going 2-1 down just before half-time.

With little riding on the game for the Reds, Klopp will need to ensure his side aren't susceptible to any form of complacency against a highly motivated Milan side. A win for the visitors would see them become the first English side to have a 100% record in the group stages of the competition.

Klopp told reporters to expect changes to his side after naming an unchanged eleven at the weekend, with the likes of , and , amongst others, likely to feature from the off.

There could also be a return to action from the bench for duo and Naby Keita, who both returned to first-team training within the last week after recovering from their respective knocks.

A number of youngsters made the flight to Italy, including Tyler Morton, , Elijah Dixon-Bonner and Harvey Davies, whilst senior stars , Jordan Henderson, Thiago and all stayed on .
