Klopp: Liverpool players will need to be brave against PSG stars

Jurgen Klopp has urged his Liverpool side to be brave against 's star-studded side on Wednesday night.

Following two losses to and , all focus turns to Liverpool's visit of Paris to face Thomas Tuchel's side.

Victory over PSG will be the aim as the Reds look to progress from Group C in to the knockout stages of the .

Whilst there was talk that Neymar and Kylian Mbappe could miss the clash due to injury, the duo have both recovered in time and will partner Edinson Cavani up front.

Speaking to reporters at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night, Klopp insisted his side know how to deal with the attacking trio but urged them to take the game to them.

“There were no mind games. We always expected Mbappe and Neymar to play,” he said.

“The players know more about these players' individual strengths than I do.

“But they can only shine if they get the ball. We can close spaces, we have to work.

“If you are not compact, you have no chance. And you have to be brave by yourself, like we were in the first game.

“It's actually more difficult to prepare when my players don't know the opponents. They will have watched 500,000 YouTube videos of Mbappe!”

Klopp remained coy about his possible starting eleven and system whilst stressing the importance of a over the French champions.

“I will not say anything about that, so we will see which midfield and system we go with,” he added.

“We are here to win a football game with all we have. We want to be as good as possible for our supporters. It's a tough one but we're here, so we should try.”

Klopp also gave an update on Sadio Mane, who was reportedly ill on Monday night, but made the trip to Paris after being involved in training at Melwood on Tuesday morning.

“Sadio was on the plane, I then got off the plane and took an hour-and-a-half to get to the press conference. If nothing happens, he'll be fine,” he said.
