Liverpool Player Ratings vs Fulham: Wirtz and Gakpo Rescue Point in 2-2 Thriller

Cody Gakpo scored what looked to be a game-winner in stoppage time, but a goal at the death from Fulham’s Harrison Reed forced Livererpool to settle for an entertaining but disappointing 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage.

  • Alisson (6/10): Had a couple of spills, but cut down the angle on Wilson’s near-second goal  
  • Kerkez (6/10)  Some good moments going forward, but not enough
  • Van Dijk (7/10):   Good clearance off the line to prevent a Fulham goal
  • Konate (7/10):  Solid in defense, stopped set pieces all match with solid headers
  • Wirtz (8/10): Great goal to level things up.  
  • Szoboszlai (6/10):  Lacked his usual brilliance 
  • Bradley(8/10): Near-perfect pass for the assist on the equalizer.
  • Jones (6/10)  Better in the second half, but not much stood out 
  • Gakpo (9/10)  Constant threat on goal with near misses and hitting the post
  • Mac Allister (6/10  Pretty quiet but did win a dangerous  set piece 
  • Gravenberch (6/10)  Not much stood out, but made no glaring mistakes

The Substitutes

  • Frimpong (4/10): Bad giveaway and poor clearance in limited action
  • Chiesa (6/10): Late sub with little impact

Man of the Match

Gakpo: Making his first start in attack under Slot, Gakpo was the best player on the pitch for the Reds

The Manager

Arne Slot (7/10): Learned his lesson and was much more direct going forward.
