Analysis: Watch Jürgen Klopp's Post-Match Press Conference vs Crystal Palace

Michael -

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp met with the media after the Reds' 0-0 with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday night. Liverpool managed to get a point in a scrappy game that included 7 yellow cards, 5 of them belonging to the Reds.

The point helped Liverpool move into 7th on the Premier League table for the time being. They are now undefeated in their last 3 matches. Klopp seemed happy with the point but maybe not his team's overall performance this evening.

The Boss said, “[A] good point, if you want, main difference to all other games we played here over the years, I know the record is insane, but the games were like tonight [but] the main difference [was] that we scored. We didn't score tonight…Could we have done better? Yes. I think so.”

Klopp on Darwin and Gomez

Klopp confirmed injuries to both Darwin Núñez and . Núñez was definitely playing through a painful shoulder injury in the game against . Gomez was taken off during that match, with commentators speculating that he had been hurt.

The Boss said, “Darwin against Newcastle when he fouled Trippier... yeah, his shoulder, then it was OK with an injection against Madrid because there's no structural damage… Joe Gomez had a muscle [injury].”

Thoughts on Diogo Jota

The manager gave Diogo Jota his first start since October. It was partially out of necessity, but according to the boss, “Based on that, I would say [his performance was] really, really good. We tried now to build it up slightly but it was a long time. Before that he was injured as well, so he came back from duty for pre-season, he had no pre-season, he was injured, then he played a few games really good and then he was injured again.”
