It's been a long and in many ways tough season for Liverpool, but as they approach the final match at Anfield for the season, there is still plenty to play for. The Reds sit just 1 point out of the Champions League, making the upcoming match on May 20th with Aston Villa vital to their chances.

The King  Of Consistency

If Mohamed Salah scores in either of the season's final two games, he will have scored 20 Premier League goals for the third straight season. Roger Hunt was the last Reds player to accomplish that feat in 1966. It would also mark Salah's 5th campaign of 20 or more League goals in a Reds.

Taking A Look At The Lions

have enjoyed a strong season as they will finish in the top half of the table after surviving relegation a year ago. The Reds are still looking for the double, however, as Liverpool claimed a 3-1 away win on Boxing Day. Aston Villa is led by Ollie Watkin's 15 goals while the Lions' super- from 2021, Emi, only has 5. The results have also been a mixed bag for Aston Villa as of late, getting two wins, two losses and a draw in their last 5 matches.

Klopp, who will serve the second game of his ban next season, was also fined £75,000. Pepijn Lijnders will likely be in the tactical area instead as he is the one in charge during the Carabao Cup matches.
