Liverpool picked up a huge 3 points, beating Marseille 3-0 away. Domonik Szboszlai scored in the final moments of the first half, and Jeremie Frimpong was solid on both ends of the pitch, forcing an own goal to seal the win.
- Alisson (8/10): Big Saves. Came off his line well all game long
- Frimpong (9/10): Used his speed to track back and snuff out dangerous moments, and forced the own goal
- Van Dijk (6/10): The captain was solid in his 350th appearance for the Reds
- Gomez (6/10): Some big stops on defence, particularly after Marseille made changes at the hour mark
- Kerkez (7/10): Controlled the pitch. Quick decisions on Reds counters.
- Wirtz (6/10): Popped up in good positions, but was tentative in front of the goal.
- Salah (7/10): His play on the wing has been missed, but he missed a chance late
- Mac Allister (6/10): Solid first half but mostly quiet after that
- Szoboszlai (8/10): Beautiful free kick goal just before the half
- Ekitiké (6/10): Just offside on the potential opening goal. A second offside shows he lacked pitch awareness
- Gravenberch (6/10): Not a bad game, but relatively quiet
The Substitutes
- Gakpo (8/10): Nice pass to Salah after coming on and then scored the third goal in stoppage time
- Jones (6/10): Drew a big foul late as Marseille were pushing for a goal
Man of the Match
- Frimpong: He was everywhere on the pitch, transitioning from defence to offence very quickly
The Manager
- Arne Slot(9/10): Brilliant move to start Salah, and did not sacrifice defensive shape when pushing forward
