Man City vs Liverpool Confirmed Lineups: FA Cup Quarterfinal

Liverpool manager Arne Slot and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola standing on the touchline ahead of their FA Cup quarterfinal match.

Liverpool make three changes ahead of the FA Cup match at the Etihad against Manchester City. As expected, Mohamed Salah starts after returning from injury, and Curtis Jones gets the nod in front of Alexis Mac Allister.

Man City Confirmed Starting XI

City XI: Trafford, Nunes, Khusanov, Guéhi, O’Reilly, Rodri, Bernardo (C), Semenyo, Cherki, Doku, Haaland

Subs: Donnarumma, Reijnders, Ake, Marmoush, Kovacic, Nico, Ait-Nouri, Savinho, Foden

Liverpool Confirmed Starting XI

Liverpool: Mamardashvili, Gomez, Van Dijk, Konate, Kerkez, Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Salah, Jones, Ekitike, Gravenberch.

Subs: Woodman, Mac Allister, Chiesa, Gakpo, Robertson, Frimpong, Nyoni, Morrison, Ngumoha.

LFC Globe Verdict

I thought Arne Slot would be a bit more defensive with Robertson in the back, but this is a solid lineup. Also, Jones is a bit of a surprise.

Have Your Say

What do you make of Arne Slot’s starting XI? Are you surprised to see Curtis Jones get the nod over Alexis Mac Allister in midfield, or Joe Gomez starting at right-back instead of Jeremie Frimpong? And with the massive news that Alexander Isak has missed the matchday squad entirely, do we have enough firepower on the bench?
