It's a tricky first test for Liverpool, who come up against a side that embodies the same ethos as them. Marcelo Bielsa's side have been lauded for their distinctive style of play, which emphasises pressing high up the pitch and forcing their opponents into errors.
But the Reds can take comfort in their opening day record under Klopp, which stands at three wins and a draw since his arrival in 2015, with three goals scored on every occasion.
With both managers so similar in their outlook, it's set up to be a fascinating battle between both sides. The hope is the Reds can start the season as they did last time around as they begin their journey to retaining the title.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson is likely to be involved in the squad after resuming full training last week, following an injury that has kept him out since the back-end of last season.
Xherdan Shaqiri also returned to training after missing parts of pre-season, putting him in contention. However, the Swiss international is unlikely to play any significant role, as made apparent over the last year.
Meanwhile, Klopp gave no indication of Kostas Tsimikas' availability after the left-back was reported to have tested positive for coronavirus. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remains sidelined with a knee injury.
