Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his side can return to winning ways after their fourth draw in six league games against Everton last weekend.

The visit of Burnley provides Liverpool the perfect opportunity to put things right, with the Clarets languishing in 17th place in the table.

However, there will be the added pressure of keeping up with Manchester City, who went four points ahead after victory over Watford on Saturday.

The Reds have been criticised in recent weeks after giving up a seven point lead over Pep Guardiola's side, with a misfiring attack largely to blame.

Whilst Liverpool are huge favourite on paper, recent results and the pressure of the title race could be pivotal against a gritty Burnley side.

Anything but a win would be a disastrous result for Klopp's side, however a good performance and win would go a long way to calming the nerves.

Team News

The Reds remain without the injured Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, although the duo are expected back in the next couple of weeks.

Dejan Lovren returned to training this week after a hamstring injury and is expected to be back in the Reds squad, although Joel Matip is likely to continue his run in the side.

Roberto Firmino, who was on the bench against the Blues following an ankle knock, is also expected to return to lead the line for Liverpool.

Whilst the majority of the side picks itself, Klopp has to make some decisions in midfield, with Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum, Naby Keita and James Milner all vying for a starting place.

Fabinho and Wijnaldum are likely to start, whilst Klopp could turn to Keita to provide a much-needed creative spark in the middle of the park.

The boss could also turn to Xherdan Shaqiri, who has seen reduced game-time of late. The Swiss international scored in the reverse fixture at Turf Moor earlier in the season.

Mohamed Salah will be looking to get back to goalscoring form, whilst Sadio Mane and Firmino will partner the Egyptian in attack.
