Liverpool return to EPL play on Saturday, January 24th, as they host Burley at Anfield. Arne Slot is expected to stay with the 4-2-3-1 formation that has seen Liverpool unbeaten in 11 straight matches across all competitions. Burnley are near the bottom of the table in 19th place and eight points below the relegation line. Even so, I expect Slot to return to a more traditional EPL lineup.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
- GK: Alisson– The #1 goalie returns between the pipes
- RB: Jeremie Frimpong– Lonk for him to win individual battles on the wing vs. the Clarets.
- CB: Ibrahima Konaté– Stronger play in the back as of late after a shaky start to the season
- CB Virgil Van Dijk (C) – The Captain returns to his familiar Centre Back role after Joe Gomez started during the FA Cup
- LB: Milos Kerkez -The Reds should have speed to burn on the wings with the inclusion of Frimpong and Kerkez
- CM: Alexis Mac Allister – MacAllister has cooled off in the last few games. He should find more space in this one and dominate.
- CM: Ryan Gravenberch – Continues his run as a regular starter under Slot.
- RW: Domonik Szoboszlai – Caught a lot of grief for his backheel in front of goal that led to a Barnsley goal, but it does not cost him a start
- AM: Cody Gakpo, I am excited to see how he does playing behind Ekitiké
- LW: Florian Wirtz– Has had a knack for scoring goals as of late
- ST: Hugo Ekitiké- A healthy Ekitiké spells trouble for Burnley. I expect him to pump in a goal or two

Key Stat to Watch: Hugo Ekitiké is the first Reds player since Sir Kenny Dalglish to score in five different competitions in a single season, should he do so.
Final Score Prediction: Liverpool 4 Burnley 0
Star Man: Hugo Ekitiké
