Liverpool probably deserved better but they had to settle for a 1-1 draw vs Burnley at Anfield. Liverpool outshot the Clarets 11-1 on goal and had a missed penalty. That's four straight draws for the Reds in EPL as the defending champions continually let points slip through their fingers despite a run of 12 unbeaten.
- Alisson (6/10) Not much he could do on Marcus Edwards’ goal as it came from a tight angle.
- Kerkez (6/10) Not a bad game, but did not see much action on the far side of the pitch
- Van Dijk (7/10) Looked comfortable playing high up the pitch against a dug in Burnley defense
- Konate (8/10) Stuffed out a couple of promising counterattacts by the Clarets
- Wirtz (10/10) Scored the goal on a scorcher in firsh half and nearly had a second early after halftime
- Szoboszlai (5/10) The missed penalty is not the biggest criticism. He looked tentative in his chances to push the ball forward.
- Ekitike (8/10) Showed fancy footwork leading to the goal and created several other chances
- Frimpong (7/10) Continually raced away from defenders
- Gakpo (7/10) Popped up in front of goal a few times, but he was unlucky not to score
- Jones (7/10) Played much better late as the Reds were pushing for a goal
- Gravenberch (6/10) Quiet match by his standard
The Substitutes
- Mac Allister (7/10) Had a big chance right after coming on
- Ngumoha (6/10) Had some good runs after coming on
- Robertson (7/10) Earned a corner and had solid crosses
- Chiesa (6/10) Late sub, no real impact
Man of the Match
- Wirtz I dont give out many perfect ratings, but this one is well deserved
The Manager
- Arne Slot (6/10) Was not aggressive enough with a 1-0 lead. Seemed too happy to hold possession
