Jurgen Klopp's side are back in Premier League action following the postponement of their Boxing Day fixture as they take on Leicester for the second time in under a week.
The two sides played out a captivating 3-3 draw in the Carabao Cup last week, with a rotated Reds eleven eventually running out 5-4 winners in the penalty shoot-out to progress to the semi-finals of the competition.
Whilst the Reds did not feature on Boxing Day, Brendan Rodgers' side suffered a 6-3 defeat at the hands of league-leaders Man City, which marked their fourth defeat in six games in all competitions. They have now kept just one clean sheet from their last 16 top-flight encounters, which bodes well for the Reds' rampant attackers.
However, Liverpool will be looking to avoid a repeat of their last visit of the King Power back in February, which saw them dramatically collapse in the final 12 minutes before shipping three goals and eventually succumbing to a 3-1 defeat.
With league-leaders Man City threatening to run away with the title race and Chelsea sitting on level points, the hope is Klopp's side can get the job done and come away with a much-needed three points.

Klopp will be able to call upon Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Thiago and Curtis Jones after the quartet returned to training after a period of self-isolation due to positive COVID-19 tests.
Divock Origi, Nathaniel Phillips, Harvey Elliott and Adrian continue to remain sidelined due to injury, whilst Andy Robertson is serving the second game of his three-match suspension.
The boss will undoubtedly make a number of changes, with Van Dijk, Fabinho and Thiago expected to come straight back into the starting eleven alongside the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who were given the night off last Wednesday.
