Confirmed Liverpool XI vs Fulham: Ekitike Injured as Wirtz Deemed Fit

Liverpool made three changes to the Starting XI after a scoreless draw vs Leeds due in large part to a late calf Injury to Hugo Ekitike. That means Cody Gakpo will slide in the attacker position up top in Arne Slot’s 4-2-3-1 formation. Milos Kerkez returns to provide more attacking options from the back and Alexis Mac Alister comes back in midfield.

The Verdict

The biggest news is that Ekitike is injured which is a huge blow considering he had been Liverpool’s main offensive threat over the last few games. Cody Gakpo is a good player, but I think this is the first time all season he has been the lone striker up top. The good news is Florian Wirtz is able to go after a hamstring scare vs Leeds and Joe Gomez returns to the bench after an injury.
