Confirmed Lineups: Liverpool vs Brighton

As feared, Darwin Núñez is not listed on the team sheet for the match and he is replaced by Cody Gakpo. Maybe the minor injury he suffered could be a blessing in disguise. Núñez has been so close to scoring lately but has been plagued by near-misses. A game off could what he needs to start finding the back of the net once again.

As for Brighton, two of their top scorers Pascal Groß and Leandro Trossard will not play in today’s match due to injury, so that leaves the scoring load to Alexis MacAllister who has 7 goals on the season.

LFC Globe Verdict

Liverpool may have caught a bit of a break as two of the Seagulls’ top-scorers are out of the lineup. But that doesn’t mean they can relax. Brighton has been playing good football of late. It’s also good to see James Milner and Curtis Jones back on the team sheet and I know Reds’ supporters everywhere are excited to see Cody Gakpo make his EPL debut.
