Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp made eleven changes to his side for the second time this week as the likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane returned to the starting eleven.

The Reds were made to work hard for all three points as Chris Wilder's side did exceptionally well to keep them at bay for the majority of the ninety minutes.

The Blades had their fair share of chances to take the lead, however, it was Liverpool who did so with their first shot on target - in the 70th minute.

The ball fell to Gini Wijnaldum at the edge of the box, with the Dutchman unleashing a volley straight at goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who took his eye off it and let the ball roll across the line.

It was Liverpool's seventh consecutive league win at the start of the current campaign as they maintain their flawless start and a five-point lead over reigning champions Manchester City.

Klopp's side are in Champions League action against RB Salzburg on Wednesday night before hosting Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
