All the best photos from Anfield as Virgil van Dijk scored twice for Liverpool to beat Brighton 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds edged past Graham Potter's side to go eleven points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Van Dijk gave Liverpool the lead inside the opening 20 minutes as he got on the end of Trent Alexander-Arnold's excellent set-piece to head the ball past Mat Ryan.
Minutes later, the duo combined once again as Alexander-Arnold's whipped cross was powerfully nodded home by Van Dijk to make it 2-0 to Liverpool.
Brighton put in a commendable display and kept the pressure on Liverpool, who had to go through a few nervy moments throughout the second half.
A long ball by Brighton saw Alisson in no man's land, with Leandro Trossard getting to the ball and striking towards goal, only for the Brazilian to make the save outside of his box.
Alisson was shown the red card, with Adrian coming on for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to replace the Reds goalkeeper.
Brighton captain Lewis Dunk caught the Spaniard out with a quick free-kick placed into the bottom corner, getting a late consolation for the visitors, who could have drawn level with further chances in the closing stages.
However, Liverpool held on for the victory and continued their staggering start to the Premier League season whilst capitalising on Man City's 2-2 draw with Newcastle earlier in the day.
