Liverpool saw off Newcastle in dramatic fashion with Divock Origi scoring a late winner at St James' Park, sending thousands of supporters into bedlam.
The Reds took the lead via Virgil van Dijk's early header, only for Newcastle's Christian Atsu to strike less than ten minutes later.
Mohamed Salah netted from close-range to regain Liverpool's lead, however things soon started to unravel as the home side equalised through Salomon Rondon's strike just before the hour mark.
Salah was then involved in a collision with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, leading to him being stretchered off with possible concussion. Divock Origi came on in replace of the Egyptian.
With less than five minutes to go, the Reds looked in a precarious position, needing a goal to save their title bid without the injured Salah and Roberto Firmino.
However, it was Origi that turned hero once again as he replicated his late winner against Everton with a crucial header from Xherdan Shaqiri's cross, sending supporters in the away section wild.
It wasn't just the away section either, there were hundreds of Liverpool supporters dotted all around the stadium, including in the hospitality suites, which erupted in songs from Reds at the full-time whistle.
