The best snaps as Liverpool beat Salzburg to reach Champions League last 16

Liverpool progressed to the Champions League knockout stages after goals from Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah sealed a 2-0 win over RB Salzburg.

There were a few nervy moments for the Reds in the first half as the hosts looked to take the game to Jurgen Klopp's side. However, Liverpool ultimately showed their quality as they ran out comfortable winners and topped Group E.

Liverpool scored the crucial opener in the second half as former Salzburg men Sadio Mane and Naby Keita linked up, with Keita confidently heading home from the Senegalese's dinked ball.

They doubled their lead less than two minutes later as Mohamed Salah squeezed an outrageous effort from the tightest of angles into the back of the net to make it 2-0 to Liverpool.

Liverpool had the chances to score six or seven goals on another day, but they managed the rest of the game well and sealed qualification into the last 16 of the Champions League as group winners.
