It was a tight affair between the two sides in the first half, with neither side able to register a shot on target. However, just after the half-hour mark, Issa Diop brought down Divock Origi in the box, with Salah stepping up to put Liverpool ahead.
Liverpool got their second at the start of the second half as a quick Reds counter saw Salah play in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who showed composure and slotted the ball past Lukasz Fabianski to mark his 50th Premier League appearance for the Reds with a goal.

Liverpool now have a jaw-dropping 19-point lead over second-placed Manchester City at the top of the table, with the Reds being the quickest side in Premier League history to reach the 70-point mark.
