All the best snaps from Anfield as Liverpool kicked off the new year with a commanding 2-0 win over Sheffield United.

The Reds put in a dominant display on Thursday as they marked a full year unbeaten in the Premier League with a 2-0 win over the Blades.

Liverpool went ahead inside the first five minutes as Andy Robertson's low cross was met by Mohamed Salah, who swept the ball home with a first-time finish.

Jurgen Klopp's side had to wait until the second-half to double their lead after coming close on several occasions, with the Blades lucky not to concede another earlier on.

Salah turned goalscorer to provider just after the hour mark as he set up Sadio Mane with an excellent reverse ball, with the Reds forward seeing his first shot saved before turning the rebound home from close-range.

The result means Liverpool continue their march at the top of the Premier League table and restore their 13-point lead over second-placed Leicester City.
