Liverpool’s first three fixtures after the restart of the Premier League season have been confirmed, starting with the Merseyside derby.
A full round of fixtures will take place the following weekend, with the Reds set to take on Carlo Ancelotti’s side on Sunday, 21 June for a late kick-off.
The derby will be televised live on Sky Sports, who have announced they will broadcast the fixture for free to viewers in the United Kingdom.
There have been suggestions that the game could be moved to a neutral venue, amid safety concerns from authorities. However, Joe Anderson, mayor of Liverpool, has said he would be in favour of the fixture taking place at Goodison Park.
Should Man City suffer a defeat against Arsenal, Liverpool have the possibility of clinching the Premier League title with a win against their local rivals.
Liverpool then face Manchester City on Thursday, 2 July – also at 8.15pm. The game is set for the Etihad Stadium, however, it could still be subject to further change.
