Predicted Liverpool XI vs Newcastle: Gravenberch to Right-Back; Konaté Returns

Arne Slot confirmed in his press conference that Ibrahima Konaté is back training with the club after missing the last few games with a personal matter and will play vs. Newcastle, but Joe Gomez is out with an injury. Jeremie Frimpong has also been ruled out, but the muscle injury he suffered vs. Qarabag is not as bad as the club first feared. Even so, Ryan Gavenberch will have to fill in at Right Back for a few weeks.

• LB: Milos Kerkez - Comes back in the lineup to provide pace
• CM: Alexis Mac Allister -  Was the man of the match last time out, plus Curtis Jones is ill and not 100 Percent
• CM: Dominik Szoboszlai - Can play anywhere on the pitch. Might see him drop back in defence at times, depending on the situation.
• RW: Mohamed Salah - Found the back of the net the last time out. Let’s see if that gets him going
• AM: Cody Gakpo - Not his natural position, but he is more than capable of playing in the midfield
• LW: Florian Wirtz - Should be a big playmaker in this one to either score or create for others 
• ST: Hugo  Ekitiké - Ekitiké had plenty of chances vs. Qarabag. Needs to finish as this promises to be a much tighter game
