Champions League

Liverpool return to Anfield for hopefully yet another famous European night as they look to overturn Atletico Madrid's 1-0 lead from the first-leg of their Champions League round-of-16 last month.

The Reds felt the after-effects of that night as they succumbed to defeat for the first time in the and crashed out of the , although Saturday's comeback over is a welcome boost ahead of tonight's return leg.

Jurgen Klopp's side have a huge task on their hands, with the Reds' looking toothless up against an organised Atletico side in the first-leg, with manager Diego Simeone admitting his side will look to nullify Liverpool's threat once again.

It's a must-win game for the Reds if they wish to seal their progression into the quarter-finals and, with so much at stake, it's bound to be an exciting 90 minutes of football under the lights at Anfield, with the looming possibility of extra-time or penalties.

It's likely to be another night of frustrating tactics by the visitors, but the hope will be the reigning European champions are able to rise to the occasion once more and keep their place in the competition. Anfield awaits.
