Liverpool are unlikely to make any signings in the January transfer window, Jurgen Klopp said on Friday.
The Reds made four signings last summer, with Fabinho, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker all arriving on Merseyside.
They had signed Virgil van Dijk for £75million in January earlier this year, however it is unlikely that the Reds will be involved to such an extent in the forthcoming window.
Klopp, speaking to the national press after his pre-Arsenal press conference, suggested that his current squad is sufficient to last the season – barring any unexpected circumstances.
“If crazy things happen then maybe we have to think new but I don't expect that,” he said.
“At the moment it doesn't look like we will be too busy but it all depends on injuries and things like that. In the moment we have each position twice, three times and sometimes four times covered.
“I don't think there is any reason to try to do something really big like bring in another striker.
“We have all that we need. Our job now is to use the quality that we have and to work with it because one player doesn't change it.”
Liverpool have already been linked with a whole host of names ahead of the window.
Kerem Demirbay, Ousmane Dembele, Aaron Ramsey and Abdoulaye Doucoure have all been touted as possible arrivals at Anfield.
However, it is unlikely with Klopp's recent comments that they should move for any aforementioned names - at least until the end of the season.
