Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for the Reds four minutes before the break, slotting past goalkeeper Sergio Rico just 14 seconds after the visitors' had a goal disallowed for offside.
Xherdan Shaqiri was on target early in the second half, volleying home from close-range after an inviting cross by Andy Robertson.
The Reds move to 30 points in the Premier League heading into the international break ahead of Manchester City and Chelsea's games later on Sunday.
