LFC Globe -

Fresh images of Liverpool's new training ground in Kirkby - the AXA Training Centre - have emerged, showcasing the hard work behind the project.

Liverpool moved out of Melwood - their base for over 70 years - on Tuesday, with the Reds set to move to new world-class facilities in Kirkby.

The new training centre combines the U23 side with the first-team, intending to allow for a seamless progression through the ranks for Liverpool's youngsters.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and some of his senior players, including and , had their influence on the build of the state-of-the-art facility, with their input taken into account in the design and layout of the building.

While the club has shown glimpses of the training centre, images posted on social media (see below) on Thursday give supporters an all-access view of the site.

There are images of both the first-team and U23 areas on the site, along with the boss' office, the players' lounges, the press conference area, the dining rooms and more.

The Reds have a new altitude chamber, allowing them to train in 40-degree heat, 90% humidity and low oxygen levels, allowing them to prepare for tough trips in Europe.

There are also a range of recovery pools, including a 17m pool with counter-current and a Hydroworx Pool with an underwater treadmill for enhanced injury rehabilitation.

There's also a dedicated 'draft room,' which is designed for the scouts and those responsible for making signings to come together and discuss potential transfer moves.

The entrance of the building has cement blocks engraved with names of Liverpool's all-time top defenders, including , with the idea that "the club's greatest defenders protect the entrances."

The first-team suite can be accessed via a door playfully labelled 'The James Milner Door' after the Reds' vice-captain suggested the idea during consultations - that's one way to secure your legacy at the club!

While Liverpool will undoubtedly release further images once the Reds officially settle in, you can slide through the gallery below for the best photos from Liverpool's new training ground in Kirkby.
