Jurgen Klopp names a Liverpool side with two changes for tonight’s crucial Champions League fixture against Paris Saint-Germain.
Following a 3-0 win at Watford on Saturday, the Reds return to Champions League action against Thomas Tuchel’s side as they look to progress into the knockout rounds with a win in their penultimate Group C fixture.
Liverpool named a 21-man squad to travel to France on Tuesday and Klopp has named a formidable side to take on the Parisians at the Parc des Princes tonight.
Trent Alexander-Arnold makes way Joe Gomez whilst James Milner returns to the midfield in place of Xherdan Shaqiri, with the Reds appearing in a 4-3-3 formation.
Alisson starts in goal as expected and in front of the Brazilian in defence are Gomez, Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson.
Whilst there was talk of Fabinho or Naby Keita being brought in to the midfield, it is instead Jordan Henderson that retains his role as the deepest lying midfielder.
In front of the skipper are Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner with Klopp opting for a solid base in the middle of the park over the outright creativity of Keita or Shaqiri.
As expected, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane start up front for the Reds as they look to fire Liverpool in to the knockout stages.
