Schedule

11/24 vs Serbia 19:00 GMT

11/28 vs Switzerland 16:00 GMT

12/02 vs Cameroon   19:00 GMT

Outlook

Brazil has always been one of the giants of football and the Cycle is no different. Everyone will be focused on Brazil's lethal offensive and rightfully so with names like Fred, Neymar and Vinicius Jr. on the roster. But the Brazilians have to play defense, too and Alison has proven to be one of the top goalies in the world. has not put up gaudy numbers for Liverpool so far this season, but he has played solid in the midfield. It will be interesting to see how many minutes he gets with such a loaded Brazillian roster.

England

Schedule

11/21 vs Iran 13:00 GMT

11/25 vs USA 19:00 GMT

11/29 vs Wales 19:00 GMT

Outlook

Group B is quite possibly the most intriguing of all the groups at this year's World Cup. Not only do the Three Lions face the United States side they have never beaten in  World Cup play, but also Wales in a match that means so much more to the fans than just a football match. National pride will be on the line that day and so anything can happen. Even so, the English roster is full of EPL plays and they are favord to the group. Liverpool captain is likely playing in his final World Cup and is also a veteran. Maybe that leadership will help England make a deep run after many years of disappointment.

Netherlands

Players Selected

Virgil Van Dijk

Schedule

11/21 vs Senegal 16:00 GMT

11/25 vs Ecuador 16:00 GMT

11/29 vs Qatar      15:00 GMT

Outlook

The Netherlands is not the biggest nation, but they seem to be competitive each World Cup cycle. They face a tough test in the final group match vs host nation Qatar, but they should have no issues advancing to the knockout stages. Unfortunately for Reds supporters, due to an injury, will miss the World Cup and the opening match duel with former teammate Van Dijk.

Uruguay

Players Selected

Darwin Núñez

Schedule

11/24 vs Korea Republic 13:00 GMT

11/28 vs Portugal             19:00 GMT

12/02 vs Ghana                15:00 GMT

Outlook

Núñez certainly has the talent to put the ball in the back of the net and it would not surprise me if he were in the running for the Golden Boot at the end of the tournament. His pairing up top with former Red Luis Suarez should be more than enough scoring punch to advance even with a tough Portugal side in the group. In fact, I think Uruguay could be a dark horse to lift the trophy.
