Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted he would "swap every medal" for the Premier League one he received last night.
Alexander-Arnold has been a key member of Liverpool's side over the last few seasons and has also become a regular for Gareth Southgate's England side.
The Reds full-back demonstrated his world-class abilities again on Wednesday night as he bagged himself a goal in the Champions' thrilling 5-3 victory against Chelsea, scoring an excellent free-kick in the 38th minute.
Despite being just 21-years-old, the young Scouser has shown great maturity throughout his time at his boyhood club as he looks to remain an integral part of the setup for years to come.
Alexander-Arnold has a trophy collection even many seasoned pros would be envious of, having won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and the Premier League all in the space of just over a year.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, the Reds' No. 66 said winning trophies mean "everything" to him, although he would swap his already impressive medal collection for the one he has on.
He said: “Just the feeling of being up there. This is the one we all wanted as fans, as players, as a club. I'd swap every medal I've got just to have this one around my neck.
“But, I think that the way we played this season and the feeling we felt being up there on the podium is unbelievable. For this club, it's massive.
“I feel so lucky; I feel so blessed to be part of such a special club, to be a part of such a special team. Everyone has played a massive part: the young lads, the senior lads, all the staff, everyone.
“It's been a collective effort, and it's a club effort, and it's going to be a good night to celebrate it.”
With restrictions in place, Alexander-Arnold also raised thanks in order to have his family at Anfield so celebrations could continue long into the night and be with the ones closest to him.
“Obviously I want to say a big thanks to the Premier League, the council, the government and everyone who allowed it to happen,” he said.
“They're up there now, and it's an amazing feeling to share this with your family. They're the ones that mean the most and as the gaffer said before the game – they're the ones that we play for.
“We play for the fans, but these are the people that have helped you along the way from a very young age. They're the ones that have seen the good times and dark times. It's an amazing feeling to be able to share it with them.”
Liverpool have had many local talents coming through the ranks since the Premier League's inception in 1992. But Alexander-Arnold is the only one who can now boast about winning the league title. The West Derby-born youngster was picked up by Liverpool's academy when he was just six-years-old, and he has been turning heads ever since.
When asked about the team's mentality to achieve greater things in the future, Alexander-Arnold insisted the feeling when up on the podium will drive them on to retain the title next season.
He said: “I think getting the first trophy in and winning the Champions League last year helped our appetite to win more and more, and I think nights like this and the feeling that you get now is just the feeling that you want so much.
“It's something that will drive us, and I think next season this is what we want to be like in 12 months' time; to be in a position to celebrate and hopefully we'll be able to celebrate with the fans here.”
