Sadio Mane set for return to Liverpool starting eleven vs Napoli

Sadio Mane is in contention to start for the Reds in Tuesday's fixture against after recovering from a foot injury.

The Senegal suffered a cut on his foot in the derby victory last weekend, missing the Reds' 3-1 over .

He came off the bench in the second half of Liverpool's 4-0 win over on Saturday and he is expected to start for the Reds' decisive Group C fixture at .

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Klopp confirmed Mane's availability: “Sadio can deal with the pain obviously – it looked like that in Bournemouth, so that's cool. It's good enough that we can consider him at least.

“We have two sessions still to come – we'll train tomorrow morning as well. That's very important.

“We have the meeting to do. In the squad there is nothing really serious after the game, that's good.”

Klopp also offered an update on the fitness of , who has missed the last three games for the Reds after suffering a concussion in training.

“We will see how Dejan is doing,” added Klopp.

“Yesterday he was out on the pitch and looked quite well. Can he be part of training today or not? We will see that. Squad-wise, [there is] no bad news at least.”

Whilst Lovren may recover in time for the clash, Klopp is expected to continue with Joel Matip at the heart of defence alongside .

Matip has started the Reds' last two fixtures and has looked assured despite a lack of game-time this season.

The boss also confirmed that is 'fine' despite suffering a nasty wound to his head in Saturday's victory.

“He looked fine. Nobody told me differently. He was running yesterday,” he added.

Liverpool take on Carlo Ancelotti's side knowing they require a victory to offer them a chance of securing qualification the group stages of the Champions League.

A 1-0 win will do for the Reds, although should Napoli score at Anfield, they will need to win by a margin of two goals or more to guarantee progression.
