Match Preview: Liverpool Look For Continued Success vs Hammers

Jacob -

Liverpool will look to put the hammer down versus West Ham United tomorrow (Wednesday) evening April 26th from London Stadium. The Reds are unbeaten in their last four matches and are looking for a double after they beat the Hammers 1-0 at Anfield back in October.

More Records In Sight for Salah

It seems like, in every match this season, the Egyptian King is tying or breaking some sort of record. This time he can Harry Chambers for fifth on the all-time Reds scoring list with 135 goals. Salah also has 9 career goals vs. West Ham. One more would tie the club record for most goals scored against the Hammers.

Hamming It Up

is also enjoying a spell of strong play. The Hammers have lost only once in their last six matches to move 6 points clear of the relegation zone and climb to 13th on the table. They are led by veteran English midfielder Michail Antonio with 12 goals. Striker Jarrod Bowen is just behind him with 11 goals.

Dominating The Fixture

Liverpool have had success against a lot of teams throughout its history in the Premier League... When just looking at the statistics though, the most success has come against the Hammers. The Reds have 33 wins all-time vs. West Ham United which is the most against any current side. Liverpool are also looking for their 10th double against the Hammers, and if completed, it would be the 3rd in the last 4 seasons.

LFC Globe Verdict

This could be a very tough game for the Reds. While they have historically played well vs. West Ham, the Hammers are in good form. They also have pretty balanced scoring, so the Liverpool defence can not put their focus on one main threat. Liverpool should this game. They have all the momentum in the world, but oftentimes, this season, that's when the Reds suffer a tough . I think they keep things rolling this time though with a hard-fought 2-1 win.
