Liverpool's pre-season plans for next season have been revealed, with the Reds set to play against Manchester City and Manchester United as part of their preparations this summer.
The Reds will head to America following the conclusion of this summer's World Cup in late July, where they'll take part in the International Champions Cup (ICC).
Jurgen Klopp‘s side will reportedly play at least three games during their American tour, with both Manchester City and Manchester United believed to be opponents in two blockbuster games.
Whilst the locations have not yet been ratified, it's believed Liverpool will play games in New Jersey, Michigan and Nashville.
Liverpool will begin their preparations with a tie at the 69,000 capacity Nissan Stadium in Nashville on July 22, with their opponents not yet confirmed - however it is believed Roma are the most likely to take part.
The Merseyside club will then face Man City in New Jersey on July 25 (date not yet confirmed), at the MetLife Stadium, which boasts a capacity of 82,000.
The Reds travel to Michigan three days later to face rivals Man United, with the fixture set to take place at the US' biggest stadium, nicknamed the ‘Big House', which holds 107,000 supporters.
The two Premier League clubs faced each other in New York in the summer of 2014 in front of a sold-out Yankees Stadium.
The Liverpool squad are set to be in the US for just over a week, scheduled from July 20 to July 28, before returning to Europe to continue preparations for the 2018/19 season.
Klopp is keen to have a Europe-based training camp ahead of the start of the new Premier League season on August 11. The Reds will also have at least one warm-up game at Anfield - the first in four years.
Liverpool last visited America two years ago and set up camp in Northern California whilst travelling to each new destination to take part in the games.
Klopp's side are likely to once again find a base on the east coast - with Harvard Stadium being most likely. The squad will then travel to New Jersey, Michigan and Nashville for each game.
