The Reds are in a rich vein of form that has seen them further their ambitions this season, with 12 consecutive wins in all competitions seeing them close the gap to Man City in the Premier League and winning the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea just over a week ago.
The run also included a solid 2-0 showing at the San Siro in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie against Inter Milan, with Jurgen Klopp's side now looking to finish the job and progress to the quarter-finals.
The Serie A side have won just once in four games since the first leg, having immediately suffered a shock defeat at home to Sassuolo followed by two draws, although they did get back to winning ways with aplomb with a 5-0 win at the weekend.
Liverpool are undoubtedly firm favourites to book their place in the quarter-finals, given their aggregate lead and recent form, but Inter remain a tricky opponent on their day and the Reds will need to avoid any notions of complacency creeping in.
The atmosphere should be rocking under the lights at Anfield - as it always does in Europe - and the hope is the Reds can continue their march on all four fronts this season by going one step further in the Champions League.

The boss is once again likely to have a fully-fit squad to choose from, with Thiago returning to training earlier this week after missing the Reds' last three outings owing to a hamstring issue.
Roberto Firmino, who netted in the first leg, is also back in contention after recovering from a muscle injury that has kept him out since that night, whilst Joel Matip (illness) is also back in the squad.
It will be intriguing to see how Klopp shapes up his side, with the option of either Matip or Ibrahima Konate in defence and Diogo Jota also hoping to force his way back into the front three.
