The best snaps from Stamford Bridge as Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 thanks to a second-half brace from Sadio Mane.

It was a successful afternoon for the reigning Premier League champions as they put in a dominant display to clinch three points against Chelsea.

Despite having the lion's share of possession during the first half, chances were far and few between for the Reds.

But an excellent ball by Jordan Henderson just before half-time saw Sadio Mane run through, with Andreas Christensen bringing him down to deny a goalscoring opportunity, leaving Chelsea with ten men.

Thiago made his first appearance in a Liverpool shirt after coming on as a half-time substitute for Jordan Henderson, who felt a strain to his thigh at the break.

Liverpool took just five minutes after the interval to make the breakthrough as Roberto Firmino's cross was met by Mane, who expertly headed the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Minutes later, Arrizabalaga's attempted pass was closed down and gathered by Mane, who comfortably finished into the back of the net to make it 2-0.

New boy Thiago gave away a penalty by bringing Timo Werner down in the box, but Chelsea couldn't take advantage as Alisson stepped up to deny Jorginho from the spot, sealing a 2-0 win for the visitors.
