Liverpool struggled in the back, and Galatasaray took advantage with a 1-0 win at RAMS Park. However, Galatasaray struggle on the road, so Liverpool still has a chance to reverse their fortunes at Anfield.

  • Mamardashvilli (8/10): Kept Liverpool in the match with big saves
  • Szobozlai (6(/10): Strong shot to start the second half, not much else 
  • Konate (4/10): Nervy match for all defenders, and none stood out. Very lucky, a second goal was laid at his feet
  • Van Dijk (5/10): Not much better. Miscommunication on the goal and a bad giveaway in the second half  
  • Gomez (5/10): Another defender who struggled  
  • Kerkez (6/10):  A  bright start but faded later on
  • Salah: (5/10): Quiet night. Could not control possession with the ball at his feet
  • Mac Allister (6/10): Not a bad game, just did not stand out
  • Wirtz: (6/10): Solid game in his return to the pitch 
  • Gravenberch (6/10): Name was not called much, but no glaring mistakes 
  • Ekitike: (7/10): A big chance in the second half was thwarted by the goalie

The Substitutes

  • Frimpong (6/10): Fresh legs tracked back to make important stops
  • Robertson (7/10): Probably Liverpool’s best defender in 
  • Gakpo (6/10):  Not  much of an impact 

Man of the Match

  • Mamardashvilli - He kept the Reds' UCL hopes alive with several big saves.

The Manager

  • Arne Slot (5/10): Should have started Robertson as the back four struggled.
