The best photos from Anfield as Liverpool beat Watford 2-0 to consolidate their position at the top of the Premier League table.
Mohamed Salah scored a goal in either half to earn Liverpool a hard-fought three points against a spirited Watford side.
The Egyptian broke the deadlock in the 38th minute after the Reds launched a counter-attack through Sadio Mane. Salah received the ball and cut onto his right foot to curl an excellent finish past goalkeeper Ben Foster, who could only watch as the ball evaded him.
The Hornets caused Liverpool quite a few problems at the back and came close to equalising on several occasions. The Anfield crowd grew increasingly anxious as the second half wore on, with the Reds visibly feeling the pressure at times.
However, Jurgen Klopp's side avoided any late drama as Salah netted in the final minute to seal a 2-0 win. Substitute Divock Origi's scuffed effort fell to Salah, who flicked the ball into the back of the net.
Liverpool have now earned 49 points from a possible 52 as they continue their march at the top of the Premier League table, sitting eleven points ahead of second-placed Leicester.
The onus is now on both Brendan Rodgers' side and reigning champions Manchester City to deliver this weekend and keep up with the Reds, who look relentless in their pursuit of the league title.
