In his eighth season at the club, Jürgen Klopp is currently the longest-serving manager in the Premier League.
It's been a hugely successful tenure for the German who brought the first Premier League title back to Anfield and the first league title for the club since 1990.
Klopp also reinstated Liverpool's European dominance, guiding them to four European finals, and winning the Champions League in 2019.
Having secured both domestic cups last season, Klopp and his Liverpool side have now won every single domestic competition they've competed in during his tenure.
The 55-year-old is already a Liverpool legend and will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest managers the club has ever had.
However, this season has been a tough one for Liverpool fans to swallow, especially considering the success the club have sustained over the last five years.
Despite signing a new contract last season, questions regarding Klopp's future at the club started to make waves.
I discuss today, what is the future of Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
He fulfils his contract
The most likely occurrence is that Klopp fulfils his contract which ends in 2026.
He signed a two-year extension last year as his original contract was to come to an end in 2024.
Klopp has been vocal about spearheading the new era for Liverpool over the next few years.
The likes of Darwin Núñez, Diogo Jota, Luis Díaz, Ibrahima Konaté, and many more are expected to be at the helm of the new-look Liverpool side over the coming years.
The German's preference for spending a considerable period at clubs precedes him, having spent seven years at both Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.
Klopp stays true to his word so I fully expect him to stay until 2026 which would make it 11 years he would have spent as Liverpool's manager, as he currently ranks as the 4th longest-serving manager in the club's history.
He resigns
A resignation from Klopp shouldn't be dismissed as a possibility.
He resigned from both Mainz and Dortmund for different reasons and the issue Liverpool have had with ownership and a lack of funds spell very pertinent reasons as to why Klopp may decide to leave.
Liverpool have signed just one midfielder (Thiago Alcantara) in four years, leaving the middle of the pitch to decline to what it is now.
Having previously targeted Aurelien Tchouameni and now Jude Bellingham, it's obvious Klopp wants a midfielder but getting one is a whole different story.
He gets sacked
While I think this is the most unlikely scenario out of the options, I've seen stranger things happen in football.
If performances this season occur next year with no signs of improvement, the club's owners, FSG (Fenway Sports Group), may decide it's time to cut the cord with Klopp and move in another direction.
They may feel a new manager would help make the culture fresh at the club after eight years of the German.
Whichever scenario it is, Klopp's future rests on the business the club does this summer in what is the most important transfer window for Liverpool in years.
