Manchester City players and staff sing disgraceful chant towards Liverpool and Sean Cox

Manchester City's players and staff have been filmed singing a disgraceful song about Liverpool after winning the Premier League title.

City beat Brighton on the final day of the season to finish on 98 points, one ahead of Jurgen Klopp's side.

Whilst Klopp and City manager Pep Guardiola have often spoken about their mutual respect for each other and their incredibly-built sides, it hasn't always been the case with both Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling taking digs at Liverpool in the recent past.

Now, a video has emerged on social media that shows Manchester City's entire squad and coaching staff chanting their own version of Liverpool's ‘Allez, Allez, Allez' chant.

The players sing a highly disrespectful version, chanting "battered in the streets", a reference to Liverpool supporter Sean Cox who was brutally attacked during last year's Champions League semi-final.

The chant has been sung by City fans for some time, with the lyrics also including "Ramos injured Salah" (in the Champions League final last year), although City's players have no hesitation in altering singing "Kompany injured Salah" instead.

"All the way to Kiev, To end up in defeat, Crying in the stands, And battered in the streets. Kompany injured Salah, Victims of it all, Sterling won the double, And the Scousers won f*ck all. Allez, Allez, Allez."

They also refer to Liverpool as being "victims of it all", with the term well-known for being a dig towards Liverpool supporters for the Hillsborough tragedy.

It's hard to tell exactly which players were involved due to the blurry footage, however, the majority of the squad and staff seem to join in.

The footage has gone viral on social media with Liverpool supporters rightly appalled at how City have conducted themselves.

It's one thing to expect these types of chants from rival supporters, but to hear them being repeated so vehemently by professionals is staggering.
