Arne Slot broke out the big guns to face Brighton in the FA Cup, and the biggest weapon of all, Mohamed Salah, was firing on all cylinders in a 3-0 win at Anfield.
- Alisson (7/10): Big save to start the second half. Had a clearance blocked away, but was solid
- Szobozlai (9/10): His play has been over the past month. Today was no different
- Konate (7/10): Shook off a knock to finish the game
- Van Dijk (6/10): Not much to do, but a solid shift for the captain
- Gakpo (6/10): Not much going forward, but he did not have to, as other players picked up the slack
- Kerkez (9/10): Terrorised Brighton defenders all game long. Set up a goal with a cross
- Wirtz (6/10): Good moments, but not as strong as in some other games
- Salah (10/10): The Egyptian King has scored as many goals this season, but that has not stopped him from finding others in front of the net, and then he slammed home a penalty
- Mac Allister (5/10): Beaten a few times when the game was out of reach. Let his performance drop
- Chiesa (5/10): Pretty quiet. Did not do enough with the chance to play extended minutes
- Jones (8/10): Always seemed to be in the right spot, and it paid off with a goal
The Substitutes
- Joe Gomez (6/10): Defensive sub that helped see out the win
- Ngumoha (7/10): Had a goal taken off the board for offside.
- Ekitiké (7/10): Made good runs in the box, but could not get a good shot off
- Nyoni (6/10): Late sub, no impact
- Ramsay (6/10): Late sub, no impact
Man of the Match
- Salah
The Manager
- Arne Slot (8/10): He went for the win, starting many top players, and it paid off in a dominant win
