Liverpool beat the Gunners 3-1 in the Premier League on Monday night, putting in a dominant and ruthless performance as they showcased the gulf in quality between the two sides.
The two sides meet again at Anfield tonight in the Carabao Cup for what should be a thrilling encounter if last year's fixture in the competition has any bearing.

They met in the same round last season as the second-team for both sides played out a thrilling 5-5 draw in 90 minutes, with Liverpool advancing to the next round with a 5-4 win on penalties.
Both managers are expected to ring the changes and introduce some fringe players from the off, which should make for an intriguing tie that could likely play out differently to the one on Monday.
While Liverpool's priorities lay elsewhere - the Champions League and Premier League - it would be welcome to see the Reds go on a run in a domestic cup competition. The hope is they can progress to the quarter-finals after tonight.

Liverpool will be midfielder Thiago, after he returned a positive test for coronavirus. Fellow new signing Kostas Tsimikas is missing through a thigh injury.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip remain on the sidelines as they continue their rehabilitation after their respective injuries.
There is likely to be a mixture of youth and experience in the Reds line up, with the likes of Neco Williams, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota and Takumi Minamino all expected to start.
