Andy Robertson is a player that Liverpool fans have always been able to rely on.
Since arriving at the club in 2017 from Hull City, he's played over 30 games in all competitions in every season he's sported a Liverpool kit. He's less than 25 games away from reaching 300 appearances for Liverpool in just seven years - a stunning achievement.
His output for Liverpool has been tremendous, having assisted 63 goals in his time at the club, a figure that trumps even Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Despite his consistency, there's been a noticeable dip in his end product as he's assisted just one goal in the Premier League this season.
That's left some fans contemplating whether his tenure with the Reds is coming to an end.
He Has More To Give
At 29 years of age, the Scotland captain is right in the centre of his prime and aside from his shoulder injury this season (2023-2024), he's stayed relatively injury-free throughout his seven-year career at Anfield.
His drive and determination on the left-hand side are parts of his playstyle that you simply can't find in many footballers, especially at the highest level of them all.
His ability to stop the greatest wingers as well as contribute to the attacking side of the ball makes him certainly the best left-back in Liverpool's history and the second-best in Premier League history, only behind Ashley Cole.
Robertson turns up in the big moments for Liverpool and has done so since he stepped foot in Liverpool as his return from injury in 2024 will once again show fans what he's capable of.
He Should Be Phased Out
Liverpool have gotten significantly younger in the squad thanks to the signings of Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, and Dominik Szoboszlai.
From being one of the oldest teams in the Premier League last year, the squad is now one of the youngest in the league. At 29 years old, Robertson is one of the oldest players in the team and with the left-back role being so demanding under Jürgen Klopp, some fans have suggested getting a younger player in that position.
Robertson is no doubt a quality player but a succession plan should be in place should he begin to decline.

Andy Robertson remains an integral part of Liverpool and will do so I believe with the Reds' new manager coming this summer.
While he missed a lengthy part of this season due to a dislocated shoulder, the Scotland captain quickly reminded fans why he's been one of the best left-backs in world football for the last few years thanks to his performances.
While Joe Gomez has put in admirable showings in the role, there's no doubt Liverpool are at their best with Robertson in his rightful place at left-back.
