They should be raring to go to put things right as they take on local rivals Everton in the 237th Merseyside derby on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti's side have made a flawless start to the campaign so far, having used the summer transfer window to significantly improve their starting eleven.
While the two sides have played out three consecutive 0-0 draws at Goodison Park, it's hard to envisage a similar scoreline this time around. Both teams have a sole clean sheet to their name so far this term.
Everton pose a considerable threat, unlike previous years, but Liverpool remain favourites to get their season back on track with all three points.

Liverpool will be without midfielder Naby Keita, who is ruled out due to 'fitness issues.' Goalkeeper Alisson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also remain sidelined with injury.
However, there could be returns for Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip, Sadio Mane and Thiago after they returned to training at Melwood over the past week.
It could be Thiago's first start for the club, with the 29-year-old featuring as a substitute in his maiden Reds appearance against Chelsea last month.
