Liverpool will hope to do Jürgen Klopp proud in the German’s penultimate game at Anfield as the Reds host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday (May 5).
With just one win in their last five Premier League games, Liverpool are indeed in their worst form of the season which has sadly come at the most important period of the campaign.
Dreams of a potential Treble died in last month’s 4-3 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup while their 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in the Europa League and losses to Crystal Palace and Everton compounded the heartbreak of Reds fans.
While the Reds have mathematically qualified for the Champions League next season, they have nothing to play for in their last three games which is also Jürgen Klopp’s last games in charge of the historic football club.
His next game in charge will see host Tottenham Hotspur who are in a similar reign of bad form having lost 3-2 to Arsenal in the North London Derby this past weekend.
Before that, they were thrashed 4-0 by Newcastle in what has largely been a good season for Ange Postecoglou’s side but has sometimes been marred by the squad’s inconsistency.
One of Liverpool’s four league defeats this season came at the hands of Spurs in their controversial victory 2-1 earlier this season in what was Spurs’ first league win against the Reds since 2017.
Liverpool have been dominant against the North London side as of late, winning eight of their last 10 games in the Premier League before their defeat in September.
Both clubs will be hoping to return to winning ways on Sunday in what will surely be a thrilling afternoon of action for both sets of fans.

Liverpool may be in awful form but in Klopp’s second last game at Anfield, the players must do the manager proud and put in an impressive performance against a struggling Spurs side.
In what could be an unchanged team from the draw against West Ham, I back Liverpool to return to the win column with Mohamed Salah and Luis Díaz finding themselves on the scoresheet in a 2-1 win for the Reds.
