Liverpool will make the trip to Leicester for the late kick-off on Boxing Day this year, with the full set of festive fixtures announced today.
The Reds, who will be participating in the Club World Cup in December, have a busy festive period this year.
The full set of fixtures over the festive period and each side’s TV schedule is set to be released on Thursday, after a six-day delay.
Early reports claim that Liverpool will have to travel to the King Power for an 8pm kick-off on Boxing Day, a nightmare journey for travelling fans from the north-west on a day with limited public transport.
Amazon will be streaming the game live on its online service, with the company holding the rights to the full Boxing Day programme for the first time in Premier League history.
All 10 games will be shown live on Amazon Prime, with supporters having four different kick-off times for fixtures on the day: 12.30pm, 3pm, 5pm and 8pm.
Amazon Prime are also showing an entire round of fixtures in early December, with Liverpool set to take on Everton at 8pm on Wednesday, 4 December.
The full set of fixtures are set to be released around midday on Thursday, with Liverpool supporters group Spirit of Shankly likely to release a statement for travelling Reds fans.
Whilst train schedules are not yet published, the latest National Express coach from Leicester to Liverpool departs at 5.20pm on Boxing Day, meaning supporters will have limited travel options available to them.
