Liverpool return to EPL action after a convincing 3-0 win over Ajax to claim a spot in the Champions League . Now they will host Leeds United Saturday at Anfield in hopes of erasing the taste of a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in their last EPL match.

Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde

With Halloween just days , Liverpool have been displaying some scary tendencies so far this season. Much like the benevolent Dr. Jekyll and his murderous alter-ego Mr. Edward Hyde, the Reds also seem to be split into two teams. One side is Championship caliber, easily topping the best teams in Europe, while the other struggles against clubs at the bottom of the EPL table. This season has been a bit of a horror show for the Reds as they are still winless on the road in League play.

Home Sweet Home

Fortunately for Liverpool, the match with Leeds will be played in the Friendly confines of where the Reds have played well on their pitch. They are unbeaten this season when playing in front of the home supporters, collecting 6 wins and 2 draws.

Leed(s)ing The Way

Leeds sit in 18th place on the table just below the relegation line with 9 points. They still have players capable of putting the ball in the back of the net, however. Brazilian striker Rodrigo has a club-leading 5 goals in 9 appearances while Luis Sinisterra has 3 goals in 10 matches. Liverpool supporters in the United States will have particular interest in this match as Leeds features American Internationals Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson paired together in the midfield.

LFC Globe Verdict

The Reds need all in the worst way. Sure, they are moving on to the next round of the , proving they are one of the top teams in European football. Now they need to show it in EPL play. have been struggling as of late. Their last victory inside the EPL came on August 24th vs and it's up to the Reds to extend the misery. Liverpool should get the as they play much better at Anfield and I expect them to come away with a relatively comfortable 3-1 win, but as we learned from the Nottingham Forest match anything can happen.
