The Reds side will be looking to get back to winning ways after suffering just their second defeat of the season against Leicester City in midweek as they make the trip to the capital on Sunday afternoon.
It's arguably a must-win game for both sides given league-leaders Manchester City's trendsetting ways, with both Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel hoping their side can make the Premier League title race a competitive one.
The hosts' form has dropped off in recent weeks following a near-flawless start to the campaign, having picked up just two wins from their last five games, however, they remain a point ahead of Liverpool in second place at the midway point of the season.
The Reds will be looking for a repeat of their last visit to Stamford Bridge in September 2020, where a brace from Sadio Mane gave them all three points in front of an empty stadium.
However, Klopp's side are yet to defeat Tuchel and co in their last two meetings, and with City threatening to run away with the title, it's a record that must change sooner rather than later.
Klopp will not be present on the sidelines after returning a positive COVID-19 test, whilst three other first-team players are also sidelined after testing positive during the week.
Alisson and Roberto Firmino have been rumoured to be two of the three sidelined, whilst Thiago, Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi, Nathaniel Phillips and Harvey Elliott are also unavailable due to injury.
Reece James and Andreas Christensen will be missing for the hosts due to injury, although Thiago Silva and Timo Werner are back in contention after returning to full training. Romelu Lukaku has been left out of the squad altogether after a controversial interview during the week.
