The best photos from Belgium as Liverpool thrash Genk 4-1

Liverpool FC

Liverpool beat Genk 4-1 in the Champions League following goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Jurgen Klopp made five changes to the side that drew with Manchester United at the weekend as Oxlade-Chamberlain, Salah, Naby Keita, James Milner and Dejan Lovren came into the side.

The Reds took the lead early on as Fabinho found Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the edge of the box, with the midfielder finishing brilliantly with a well-placed low effort.

They doubled their advantage after the break with Oxlade-Chamberlain once again showing off his shooting ability.

After good work from Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino, the ball landed at the feet of the 26-year-old, who sent a smashing effort from the outside of his right boot to make it 2-0 to the Reds.

Salah linked up with Mane to add Liverpool’s third, with the Senegalese forward looping the ball over the goalkeeper before Salah turned provider to goalscorer himself.

Mane played the ball into the Egyptian, who skillfully got the better of two defenders in the box and finished with ease.

The home side pulled one back towards the end via substitute Stephen Odey, however, the Reds marched to victory, sitting one point behind leaders Napoli in Group E.

The Reds are back in action on Sunday as they take on Tottenham at Anfield before hosting Arsenal in the League Cup in midweek.
