Liverpool's squad went through their paces at Melwood on Friday evening, ahead of the visit of Manchester United this weekend.

The Reds qualified to the Champions League last 16 with a 1-0 win over Napoli on Tuesday, and now all attention turns to Sunday afternoon's fixture.

With Manchester City in action against Everton in the early kick-off on Saturday, the Reds could realistically have to win to retain their spot at the top of the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho's Man United side visit Anfield sitting in sixth place and chasing Liverpool by 16 points in the table.

They will be encouraged by the fact that the Reds have failed to beat them in the Premier League in four and a half years, a statistic that Jurgen Klopp will be looking to end for once and for all.

It promises to be an action filled afternoon on Merseyside and Liverpool will need to be at their best to overcome a likely defensive and physical side.
