Roberto Firmino in line for Bayern start despite late illness concerns

Liverpool striker is set to start against Bayern Munich, despite him missing training on Monday.

The Liverpool squad took part in training at Melwood as they finalised their preparations for the visit of Bayern Munich in the .

is a major doubt for the fixture after being absent from training due to a hamstring issue, and he was joined on the sidelines by Firmino.

The Brazilian is believed to have a virus and trained from the rest of the squad as a precaution to stop his illness from spreading.

Whilst there are worries that he won't recover in time, the club remain confident that he will feature against Niko Kovac's side.

According to the Mirror's David Maddock, Firmino should play a part despite his illness, as and did against last time around.

Firmino's availability will be a big boost for Jurgen Klopp, who is without the injured and suspended in midweek.
